ABOUT THE HARTLEY STORE

We opened The Hartley Saddlery in Feb 2012. In September 2015 we had to move. We moved into a bigger and better premise right next door to our old location. The new property, Lyndoch Orchard was completed in 1872 and is heritage listed with the local council.

The restoration project turned out quite extensive, please check it out in pics on the Hartley Store Project.

The Saddlery has been very successful, having been welcomed by the local community and visitors to our beautiful region. We decided to rename our business to the Hartley Store as by now we have become so much more than just a saddlery. We now also provide a new service where we look after your property, animals, pets etc whilst you either have to go away for a weekend or long term, please visit here for further information.

We intend to provide an outstanding retail experience for locals and visitors, whether horse people or not and offering the opportunity of buying predominantly Australian made and owned products such as RM Williams Stockyard, Akubra, Baxter, Lyndi J, Peter Williams, Thomas Cook plus much more.

We offer quality products, fashion and accessories that appeal to both locals and tourists.

Even though originally a saddlery, Kristie's love for fashion has ensured she has great lines and ranges of men's, women's and kid's fashion for all times, situations and events; whether when riding, working, for casual wear and/or going out.

We carry a huge range of brands including Wrangler, Twisted X, Cinch, Cruel Girl, Hunter, Ugg and Rock 47.

At the Hartley Store we stay up to date with all new trends and are willing to source the latest products for the rider and the horse along with great fashion. We ensure effective orders and deliveries whatever is not available in the store, providing customers with an almost unlimited range of products and lines.

As this is not a franchise but a locally family owned business, we are not limited to or contracted to certain manufacturers or labels but are able to source whatever our customers need and require (obviously within limits).

With our new bigger and better store, we also offer local wine tasting, the opportunity to taste and purchase on premises. Again we aim at marketing locally owned and produced products including Rolling, Vale Creek, Bellbrook Friends, Hillbilly Cider and other great local drops.

We love our region and had the opportunity to assist in the re-enactment of Blaxland, Wentworth and Lawson's epic crossing of the Blue Mountains in 2013. The Hartley Saddlery and staff supported the trek and provided our horses and handlers for every day of the 21 day re-enactment. We are proud to be part of Australian history!

We look forward to welcoming you to our great exclusive country store, whether it is for a quick chat or some work boots for the farm, or perhaps a new shirt for an upcoming event, we are here to help.

Yours sincerely,

Kristie & Johan
